MEET TWO WRESTLERS FROM WISCONSIN

Two weeks ago Lowney sufferred something he never has in his career, an injury. He broke his wrist, which will be bandaged for two more weeks before he can wrestle again.
Lowney has two older sisters, Tara, 22, who is married and had two children. His other sister Toni is engaged and also had a child. That makes Lowney an uncle already.
Lowney said he recently saw the movie "Varsity Blues," which he calls the best movie he has seen in awhile. He doesn't get off campus too much because like most freshmen in college, no one has a car.
"It does kind of suck to not have a car," Garrett said. Then he looked over at redshirt freshmen teammates Luke Becker and Mitch Marr, "What do we do when we have time off anyway?"
Lowney said adjusting to college hasn't been all that bad. He is already enrolled in the Carlson School of Management and plans to major in maketing and sales. He really doesn't like the long walking distances to class however.
For now, Lowney is looking forward to spring break week when he will go to watch the NCAA Championships in University Park, Pa., and from there it's off to Acapulco. TIM HARTUNG Nearly everyone that has heard of Minnesota wrestling has heard of senior wrestler Tim Hartung. Hartung has established himself in this program and helped it rise to the national powerhouse that it has become.
When Hartung is not in class he is busy working on his degree in sports administration and thinking about winning that NCAA title in his final year with the program.
Hartung is kind of a quiet guy, until you meet him on the mat. Especially if your name is Lee Fullhart. Two weeks ago at National Duals, Hartung defeated Fullhart and turned to clap and stare down the Iowa bench.
These days there is another thing Hartung is gloating about, the Vikings losing to the Atlanta Falcons. His roommate Chad Kraft is a Viking fan and Hartung is a Packer fan. While it was a sad day for Kraft, it was a very good day for Hartung.
When wrestling days are over Hartung plans to attend graduate school and continue to train for the 2000 Olympic Games, where he would like to compete with the United States.
One thing is for sure though,
