WOMEN'S TENNIS FALLS TO MARQUETTE, 5-4

acThe Minnesota women's tennis team fell to Marquette Sunday, 5-4, in Milwaukee. Minnesota drops to 2-2 overall, while Marquette improves to 4-1.

The Golden Gophers and Marquette split in singles action, with each team winning three, but Marquette won two of three doubles matches.

Senior Sitinee Rangsithienchai won her second straight match at No. 3 singles, defeating Laura Garcia, 6-4, 6- 4. Freshman Jen Howard won at the No. 5 singles position. Senior Tarah Elkins defeated Megan Berman at No. 6 singles, 6-2, 6-2.

At No. 3 doubles, Elkins and Rangsithienchai defeated Julia Sapozhnikova and Dimas, 8-2.
