"Our goal on this trip from the start was to get to know each other as individuals and as basketball players," said Head Coach Dan Monson. "We accomplished that and I feel very good about the direction we are headed. This is a great group of guys who really care for each other. They have been through a ton of adversity, including some on this trip, and it has brought them closer together. I'm fortunate to have a team that already possesses that family feeling. When they get more comfortable with the new system and we get all of our players working together for a common goal, we will have a lot of fun."
The Golden Gophers will bus from Brussels to Amsterdam tomorrow where they will sightsee for a few hours before boarding Northwest Airlines flight 55 for Minneapolis. The team is due to arrive at 6 p.m. Central Time.
