MARKS, 4x400 RELAY WIN AT NORTHWEST OPEN

Shani Marks won the 600-meter dash in her first competition as a Minnesota Golden Gopher and the 4x400 relay team was also victorious in the Northwest Open at the University of Minnesota Fieldhouse on Saturday.

Marks won the 600 in one minute, 34.88 seconds while the relay team cruised to better than a four-second victory, turning in a time of 3:56.22.
