Sophomore Joel Przybilla scored 22 points and pulled down nine rebounds to lead the Golden Gophers, but Indiana shot a sizzling 57.1 percent from the field and defeated Minnesota 86-61 in Bloomington.

The Golden Gophers jumped guickly out to a 10-4 lead before Indiana's Jeffery Newton hit a lay up to cut the Minnesota's lead to four. Indiana would make two more consecutive baskets to bring the score within two.

Minnesota trailed 35-25 at halftime, with Przybilla scoring eight points to lead the Golden Gophers. Terrance Simmons headed into the lockerroom with seven points. Minnesota owned the rebounding edge 25-16 and shot 32.3 percent from the field, while the Hoosiers shot 47.1 percent from the field.

The second half would be all Indiana, as Minnesota could never regain the lead. Indiana's Michael Lewis and A.J. Guyton would score 19 and 18 points respectively to lead Indiana to the 86-61 win.

The Golden Gophers will take on the Purdue Boilermakers on Wednesday, Jan. 19 at Williams Arena at 7 p.m.
