IPROVIDENCE, R.I. - Minnesota outshot Brown and led until the final four minutes of regulation but the fourth-ranked Bears came from behind to upset the second-ranked Gophers 3-2 in overtime.

Kim Insalaco scored the game's first goal when her shot was deflected by a Minnesota player past goalie Erica Killewald nine minutes, 48 seconds into the opening period.

Laura Slominski got that goal back for Minnesota less than four minutes later and Tracy Engstrom scored on a breakaway at 2:50 of the second period to give the Gophers a 2-1 lead.

The scored remained that way until Melissa Rennison tipped in a pass from Kathleen Kauth with 3:23 to play in the third period.

Kauth got the winner when Cara Gardner threaded a pass to her through the neutral zone and she forced the puck through Killewald with 1:12 left to play in the overtime.

Minnesota, which was 0-for-7 on the power play, outshot the Bears 38-32 but sophomore Pam Dreyer, who recorded an assist on the game-winning goal, made 36 saves. Killewald had 29 saves for the Gophers.

Minnesota travels to Boston, Mass., to face Harvard on Sunday at 2 p.m. EST.
