PRZYBILLA NAMED BIG TEN PLAYER OF THE WEEK

pulledSophomore Joel Przybilla was named the Big Ten Player of the Week for his efforts vs. Indiana last Wednesday night. Przybilla scored 33 points, pulled down 14 rebounds, had three assists and blocked three shots in Minnesota's 77-75 upset win against No. 10 Indiana. He was 11-for-11 and scored 22 of his 33 points in the second half and scored the last four points in the game, including the winning basket with 3.9 seconds left in the game. It is the second time this year he has been honored with the award.
In Big Ten games, Przybilla leads the team in scoring with 17.2 points per game, in rebounds with 11.2 points per game and in blocked shots with four blocks per game. He also leads the team in scoring in all games with 14.2 points per game, in rebounds with 8.2 rebounds per game and blocked shots with 3.6 per game. Przybilla is seventh in the nation and leads the Big Ten in field goal percentage with .613, is sixth in the nation and second in the Big Ten in blocked shots, third in the conference in rebounds and 12th in the Big Ten in scoring.
