GOLDEN GOPHERS LOSE TO IOWA

The Hawkeyes held a 37-26 lead at halftime, with Iowa holding the Golden Gophers to 21 percent shooting from the field, while shooting 58 percent themselves. The Hawkeyes also held the rebounding advantage, 21-15. Burleson led the Golden Gophers in scoring with 6 points in the first half.
In the second half the Golden Gophers' shooting percentage went up to 40 percent and had 36 rebounds to Iowa's 37. Burleson scored 14 points and Dusty Rychart scored 10 and Ryan Wildenborg added 10. Shane Schilling added eight for the Golden Gophers.
Dean Oliver led the Hawkeyes with 20 points and Jacob Jaacks scored 12 and Kyle Galloway added 10 for the Hawkeyes.
The Golden Gophers travel to East Lansing, Mich., on Thursday, March 2, to take on the Michigan State Spartans before returning to Williams Arena to play host to Ohio State on March 4 at 1:30 p.m.
