NCAA REGION 2 WOMEN'S GYMNASTICS CHAMPIONSHIPS TEAMS ANNOUNCED

individuThe University of Minnesota will host the NCAA Region 2 Women's Gymnastics Championships on Saturday, April 1. The meet begins at 6 p.m. at the Sports Pavilion.

Six teams, as well as five individual all around competitors and four event specialists, will compete. Teams competing are Utah, West Virginia, Minnesota, Denver, Utah State and Southern Utah.

Minnesota is making its fifth consecutive NCAA regional appearance. The Golden Gophers advanced to the NCAA Championships in 1997.

The top two team finishers from the Region 2 meet will advance to the NCAA Championships, to be held April 13- 15 in Boise, Idaho.

Ticket prices for the NCAA Region 2 Championships are $10 for reserved seats, $7 for general admission and $5 for students, youth and senior adults. Tickets are on sale at the Gopher Ticket Office by calling 612-624-8080 or 1-800-U-GOPHER.
