SIMONSEN EARNS BIG TEN ATHLETE OF THE MONTH HONORS

BJunior Kim Simonsen was named the co-Big Ten women's tennis athlete of the month. Simonsen finished the regular season with a perfect 10-0 record in Big Ten matches at the No. 3 singles position. She has won 11 consecutive matches and 18 of her last 19, including all six matches during the month of April. With 20 wins during the 1999-2000 season, Simonsen now ranks No. 5 in school history for singles wins.

Simonsen shares the honor with Ohio State junior Kristy Dascoli.
