Gopher Women's Basketball Ties Highest AP Ranking Ever

hThe University of Minnesota women's basketball team is ranked No. 15 in this week's Associated Press Top 25 Women's College Basketball Poll, released today. The ranking matches the highest in school history, equaling the No. 15 position the Gophers held for four weeks during the 1980-81 season. The Golden Gophers, 19-4 overall, are among the nation's top 25 for the fourth consecutive week.

Minnesota is currently in sole possession of second place in the Big Ten Conference standings with a 9-3 mark. The Gophers play host to conference leader, No. 7 Purdue, on Thursday at 7 p.m. in Williams Arena.
