In the series sweep over MSU, Oonincx collected five points, three of which came on goals. In two of the three goals, Oonincx tallied the game-winning mark to help the Gophers go undefeated in 22 straight games. Oonincx, who leads the team in plus 28, had scored two goals on three shots in the first game, and was a plus three for the contest. With the two game-winning goals, Oonincx is now tied for the team-high five gamewinners on the season. Oonincx sat out the first six games of the season due to an injury. Since she started playing at the beginning of November, the team has gone 18-0-4. The unbeaten streak started in the first game that Oonincx played, a 2-1 defeat over Ohio State, Nov. 2.
The Gophers will take on the Buckeyes again this weekend, Feb. 8- 9. Both games are slated for a 7:05 p.m. start (EST) at the OSU Arena.
