Ed Lochrie Named Minnesota's Head Football Athletic Trainer

athletiEd Lochrie joins the University of Minnesota football program as the Head Football Athletic Trainer. Lochrie comes to Gold Country from the University of Kansas where he served as the football athletic trainer during the 2001-02 season. Prior to that, he spent seven years as an assistant athletic trainer at the University of Colorado. Lochrie came to CU from the University of Denver, where he worked four years as an athletic trainer.
Lochrie graduated from Colorado in 1987, earning a bachelor's degree in biology. He earned his master's in physical education from Michigan State in 1989.
Born in Bishop, Calif., Lochrie graduated from Chugiak High School in Eagle River, Alaska, in 1981.
"Ed Lochrie will be an outstanding addition to our football athletic traning staff," Head Coach Glen Mason said. "He brings a wealth of experience and expertise to our program. I feel very fortunate to have him on board."
