Golden Gopher Basketball Kicks Off Season With Madness at Midnight

The Minnesota men's and women's basketball teams will kick off their 2003-04 seasons by hosting Madness at Midnight on Friday night at Williams Arena. Admission is free with doors opening at 10 p.m.

The night will kick off with players signing autographs from 10-11 p.m. From 10:30-11:30 p.m., the fans will get the chance to sign up to participate in the cash crawl contest. Entertainment will feature the B96 Sprite Mix Master Contest.

At 11:30 p.m., the Golden Gophers will make their entrance with special introductions. At 12:01 a.m. the first official practices will begin for both teams. The Gopher men will hit the floor for a 20-minute scrimmage, immediately followed by the Gopher women's 20-minute scrimmage.
