Golden Gopher Women's Tennis Defeats Tennessee-Chattanooga 6-1

Minnesota claimed the doubles point as Amy Thomas and Valerie Vladea defeated Catherine Allen and Cynthia Oulevay at No. 1 doubles, 8-2. Minnesota's Kandis Batiste and Brandi Watts claimed the other victory, 9-7, over Bethany Everett and Lauren Snipes.
Junior Angela Buergis improved to 9-2 in the dual meet season with a 3-6, 6-1, 6-1 victory over Charlotte Goude at No. 1 singles. Vladea, Michaela Havelkova, Nischela Reddy and Watts also earned singles victories. Reddy defeated Everett at No. 4 singles, 6-2, 7-6 (3).
The Golden Gophers will continue their spring road trip with a match at Jacksonville State on Monday afternoon.
