Minnesota's 4x400-meter relay squad was named first-team All-Big Ten following the Big Ten Women's Indoor Track and Field Championships in Bloomington, Ind., last weekend. The contingent of Lisa Mickelson, Shani Marks, Rachel Schutz, and Kou Luogon captured the conference title in a time of 3 minutes, 46.22 seconds. This is the first time Minnesota has won a conference relay title.

Marks earned second-team All-Big Ten honors in both the 600 meters and the triple jump, taking second place in the 600 meters with a finish of 1:32.61, and leaping 43 feet, 11 1/4 inches to take second place in the triple jump. Marks' triple jump performance also broke her previous school record of 43-8. Monica Stearns earned second-team honors in the pole vault, clearing a height of 12-10, which broke the school pole vault record of 12-6 set the previous week by teammate Erica Findlay.

The Minnesota women's track and field team will compete next on Saturday, March 8, at the NCAA Last Chance Meet in Ames, Iowa. The meet is scheduled to start at 9 a.m.
