The University of Minnesota Women's Tennis Team (18-6) climbed three spots to a season-best No. 26 in the latest ITA National Rankings. The Golden Gophers are awaiting Wednesday's NCAA Selection Show on ESPN News at 3:30 p.m.
Minnesota was defeated by Northwestern, 4-2, in the finals of the Big Ten Tournament in Champaign, Ill. The Wildcats claimed their fifth-straight Big Ten Championship. The Golden Gophers claimed their first-ever Big Ten regular-season title with a 9-1 record. Minnesota finished 1-9 in the league and 6-16 overall last season.
The Golden Gophers are seeking their fifth appearance in the NCAA Championship and first since 2000.
