VB: No. 5 Volleyball Hosts Purdue and Indiana

Fifth-ranked Minnesota will host Purdue on Friday, Nov. 19 at 7 p.m. and Indiana on Saturday, Nov. 20 at 7 p.m. The Golden Gophers enter the week in third place in the Big Ten at 13-3 and have a 24-4 overall record. Indiana enters the week in 10th place in the Big Ten at 2-14, and is 8-19 overall. Purdue is in seventh place in the conference at 7-9, and is 14-12 overall. The Golden Gophers are 6-1 in Big Ten home matches, while Purdue is 3-5 in conference road matches and Indiana is 1-7.
With four matches remaining in Big Ten play, three teams are within one match of first place. Penn State is in first at 15-2, Ohio State is in second at 14- 3 and the Golden Gophers are 13-3. Minnesota split with both Ohio State and Penn State this season. Penn State defeated Ohio State in four games on Nov. 17. The Buckeyes and Nittany Lions also split their series this year. The following is list of the remaining matches that each of the three teams has in Big Ten play:
Minnesota - Purdue, Indiana, Iowa, at Illinois
Ohio State - Illinois, at Michigan, at Michigan State
