600-Meter Runners Pace Gopher Women's Track

Freshman Molly Hupp and senior Rachel Schutz placed third and fourth in the 600-meter dash to highlight the Minnesota women's track & field team's performance at the Iowa State Classic in Ames, Iowa, on Saturday.

Hupp placed third with a time of 1 minute, 23.02 seconds, edging Schutz in fourth in a time of 1:23.05.

Liz Alabi topped the Gophers' finishers in the field events, placing sixth in the shot put with a throw of 48-1 3/4.
