After winning the WCHA regular and tournament championship, the Golden Gophers stay steady as the top team in the country. Minnesota gathered all 15 first-place votes. Harvard is ranked second, while Dartmouth and St. Lawrence round out the top four.

Even with the loss to Minnesota-Duluth, Wisconsin sits fifth overall. The Bulldogs follow closely in sixth.

The Golden Gophers will wait to hear if they are one of four teams invited to the 2004 NCAA Women's Frozen Four. The championship will be held in Providence, R.I., March 26 and 28.
