Minnesota to Face Connecticut at Approximately 8 p.m.

Sunday's contest will mark the second time Minnesota and Connecticut have met on the basketball court. The Huskies defeated Minnesota 85-60 on Dec. 15, 1990, in Storrs, Conn.
Connecticut, the No. 2 seed in the East Regional, advanced to its fifth consecutive Final Four on Monday, defeating No. 1 seed Penn State, 66-49, in Hartford, Conn. The Huskies became the first team in the history of the NCAA Division I tournament to advance to the Final Four five consecutive times. Connecticut will be making its eighth Final Four appearance overall.
The Gophers, the No. 7 seed in the Mideast Region, became the third lowest seed to advance to the Final Four with an 82-75 victory over top-seeded Duke. Arkansas advanced to the 1998 Final Four as a No. 9 seed, while Southwest Missouri State advanced to the Final Four as a No. 8 seed in 1992.
Louisiana State, the No. 4 seed in the West Region, earned its trip to this year's Final Four with a 62-60 win over third-seeded Georgia on Monday. Tennessee, the lone No. 1 seed to advance, won the Midwest Regional with a 62-60 win over sixth-seeded Stanford.
