Minnes Dwayne Chandler has been promoted to Head Strength & Conditioning Coach for the University of Minnesota's football program. Chandler, a native of Aberdeen, Miss., will be entering his fourth year working with the Gopher football team in strength and conditioning this fall. He served as co-head strength coach with the football program in 2003 and as an assistant from 2001-02.

"I am very excited about being named the head strength coach at Minnesota. I feel that this position is a key piece of any successful football program and I am looking forward to continuing in the progression that we have made here," Chandler said.

In addition to Chandler's new position, Shannon Bertram has been named Recruiting Coordinator for the Gopher football team, adding that role to her title of Assistant Director of Football Operations. Bertram, a Cold Spring, Minn., native, has worked with the Gopher football program the past seven seasons.

Luke Tressel, who served as a graduate assistant with the football team the past two seasons, has been named Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach with the Gophers.
