Grant Potulny Signs with the Ottawa Senators

Potulny completed his career with the Golden Gophers with 68 goals and 48 assists in 148 games. He ranks 24th in career goals and 55th in career points with 116. The Grand Forks, N.D., native was part of two NCAA Championship teams (2002, 2003) and scored the game and title-winning goal for Minnesota to win the 2002 NCAA Championship over Maine. Potulny was the 2002 NCAA Frozen Four Most Outstanding Player, the 2003 WCHA Final Five MVP and the 2003 NCAA West Regional MVP.
Potulny was the first non-Minnesotan to become a Golden Gopher since Steve MacSwain and John Blue in 1986-87. Drafted in the fifth round (157th overall) by Ottawa in 2000, Potulny has attended the Senators' summer development camp for each of the past three years.
