MBB: Grier Named Fourth Team All-American by Blue Ribbon

RibUniversity of Minnesota senior Vincent Grier was named a preseason Fourth Team All- American by the Blue Ribbon College Basketball Yearbook. Known as the “Bible of College Basketball” Blue Ribbon has published a college basketball yearbook for the past 25 seasons.

Grier, a preseason Wooden Award candidate, was also selected preseason First Team All- Big Ten by the magazine. Grier averaged 17.9 points, 5.6 rebounds and 2.0 steals per game last season. Grier partnered with two Blue Ribbon First Team All-Americans — Shelden Williams of Duke and Craig Smith of Boston College — to lead the USA to a gold medal at last summer’s World University Games in Izmir, Turkey.
