Gopher Athletics Unveils Bowl Information Website

The University of Minnesota Golden Gopher football team is bowl eligible after recording its sixth victory of the season yesterday against Indiana. The Department of Intercollegiate Athletics, in conjunction with the U of M Alumni Association, has created a website to provide fans with the most up-to-date bowl game information.

Fans can visit www.alumni.umn.edu/bowl to access information on various bowl games to which the Gophers may be invited. The website will also include information on potential Big Ten bowl game scenarios, bowl game travel options with a pricing guide and a sign-up option, and answers to many frequently asked questions. The bowl game website can also be accessed through the University’s official athletics website, www.gophersports.com.

The Gopher football team will be making its fourth straight postseason appearance, having won bowl games the previous three years, including a 20-16 victory over Alabama in the 2004 Music City Bowl. Minnesota has now qualified for a bowl game in six of the last seven seasons.
