BB: Minnesota Baseball to Host Coaches Clinic on Feb. 19

eventThe University of Minnesota baseball team will hold a coaches clinic at the Gibson-Nagurski football practice facility on Saturday, Feb. 19 from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Registration for the event will last from 8 a.m. to 8:50 a.m. Minnesota Pitching Coach Todd Oakes will start with a session on "Pitch Development" from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Major League Baseball Hall of Famer Paul Molitor will be a guest speaker from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Oakes will follow with a session on "Holding Runners and Picks" from 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., followed by Minnesota Assistant Head Coach Rob Fornasiere's session on "First Base play - the forgotten position".

Lunch will follow from 12 p.m. to 12:30 p.m., followed by Minnesota Coach Lee Swenson's session on "Blocking for Catchers" from 12:30 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Minnesota Head Coach John Anderson will follow with a session on "Flaw correction through Toss and Tee Drills" from 1 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Fornasiere will finish with a session on "Double Play Feeds and Turns/Wrong foot play".

The cost for the Coaches Clinic will be $40.00 per person including a box lunch. It will be $35.00 without a box lunch at the door.
