MSD: Gopher Divers Finish Second Day At NCAA Zone Regional

The Golden Gopher men's and women's diving teams completed the second day of the NCAA Zone C Diving Regional, hosted by Purdue University in West Lafayette, Ind. The Gophers had three divers finish in the top 20 of their respective events.

On the women's side, Abbie Bowden placed 10th overall on the 1-meter board with a score of 524.55. She finished 16th on the 3-meter yesterday.

In men's 3-meter action, Shaun Kennedy finished 13th with a score of 463.30 and John Schmidt scored a 457.70 to place 16th overall. Schmidt finished 13th on the 1-meter board yesterday. Both divers will attempt to qualify for the NCAA Championships tomorrow on the platform.

The Regional concludes tomorrow with the platform diving competition. Diving will begin at 11 a.m.
