MBB: Jeff Hagen Finishes Play at Portsmouth

PorUniversity of Minnesota basketball senior Jeff Hagen finished his three-game stint at the NBA Pre-Draft Portsmouth Invitational with a double-double in the Consolation Championship Game. The 7-0 center scored 19 points, on 8-of-11 shooting, grabbed 11 boards, dished out three assists and had one block and a steal in just 25 minutes. His team, the Tidewater Sealants, lost the Consolation Championship game 122-100 to MD Designs.

Hagen's team finished preliminary round play 1-1 defeating Beach Barton Ford on Friday, 91-88, and losing to Norfolk Naval Shipyard, 103-69. In the win on Friday, Hagen had 12 points, on 3-of-6 shooting, two rebounds, two assists and three blocks in 22 minutes. Versus Norfolk Hagen recorded 11 points, two rebounds and a steal in 24 minutes.

For the tournament, Hagen averaged 14 points, five rebounds, 1.7 assists, 1.3 blocks. 0.7 steal and shot .593 (16-27) from the field, in 23. 7 minutes of action.
