MSD: Cerensek Finishes 10th In 200 Free At Mediterranean Games

Igor Cerensek and Mario Delac wrapped up swimming competition for their native Croatia on Monday at the 2005 Mediterranean Games in Almeria, Spain. Cerensek highlighted their performances, finishing 10th overall in the 200 freestyle.

Both Croatians swam in the first heat of the 200 free with Cerensek taking third in 1:55.21 and Delac fourth in 1:58.42. Cerensek's time was good for 10th overall but did not advance to the finals.

The duo competed on Croatia's 4x200 freestyle relay on Sunday, finishing fifth in 7:44.73. Overall, Delac swam in three individual events (50, 100 and 200 free) and two free relays while Cerensek swam once individually (200 free) and in two free relays.

The Mediterranean Games include competitors from the following countries: Albania, Algeria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Cyprus, Egypt, France, Greece, Italy, Lebanon, Libya, Malta, Monaco, Morocco, San Marino, Serbia and Montenegro, Slovenia, Spain, Syrian Arab Republic, Tunisia and Turkey.
