Golden Gopher Women's Basketball Hoopla 2006 on Sunday

The Minnesota women’s basketball team will celebrate the opening of their season by hosting the 2006 Hoopla event, Sunday, Oct. 15 at 1 p.m. The fan fest, which is free and open to the public, takes place in Williams Arena. Doors will open at 12 p.m.
Following introductions of head coach Pam Borton and the team, fans will be treated to their first look of the 2006-07 Golden Gophers in action. Fans will have the opportunity to have their photo taken with Goldy Gopher. The day’s activities will conclude with a player autograph session.
The Gopher women’s team will kick off the preseason schedule with their first exhibition game against Winona State on Wednesday, Nov. 1 (7 p.m.), followed by the Minnesota-Crookston exhibition game on Sunday, Nov. 5 (2 p.m.). Minnesota will open the regular season by hosting Northern Iowa on Nov. 10. The tip time of the season-opener versus Northern Iowa has been changed to 6 p.m.
Season tickets are now available by calling the Gopher Ticket Office at 612-624-8080 or 1-800-UGOPHER (outside the metro).
