• The Gophers now lead the series 17-11 and are 13-4 in Minneapolis vs. Iowa State.
• The Gophers are now 59-8 in home non-conference games under Monson and 70-25 in non-conference play under Monson including the postseason.
• Spencer Tollackson had career-highs in points (24) and rebounds (13) on the night. Tollackson scored in double figures for the second time this season and the 13th time in his career. He also finished with four assists on the night.
• Tollackson was 10-for-12 from the free-throw line on the night. The 10 made free throws were the most in his career, and were the most by a Golden Gopher since Vincent Grier made 10-for-10 against Iowa on Feb. 18, 2006. The 12 free throws attempted were also the most in Tollackson’s career.
• Lawrence McKenzie scored in double figures for the third straight game of his Gopher career and the 31st time in his collegiate career.
• McKenzie knocked down at least three three-pointers for the third straight game. He now has 12 three-pointers in the first three contests this year.
• Minnesota has limited its first three opponents to 24.0 ppg in the first half. The Golden Gophers held North Dakota State to 18, Long Island to 29 and Iowa State to 25.
• Tollackson set a new career high for points with 24 and set career highs in free throws attempted (12) and made (10).
• Kevin Payton had five assists for the game. Payton has 15 assists in his three games for the Golden Gophers.
• Limar Wilson tied a career-high in points with seven on the night, and had a career-high two steals.
• Minnesota had an 18-to-9 assist-to-turnover ratio on the night.
• The Gophers had a season-high four steals.
• Dan Coleman had career highs in total rebounds (12) and defensive rebounds (10).
The Gophers had two players with double-figures in rebounds for the first time this season (Tollackson, Coleman).
• Lawrence Westbrook had a career-high five points, and hit his first career three-pointer for the Gophers.
• The Gophers had three players with at least four assists for the first time this season.
