Game Notes
• The Golden Gophers now lead the all-time series against SDSU 10-0.
• Minnesota’s 77-53 victory was its largest margin of victory (24 points) since defeating Grambling State by the same margin, 88-64, on Dec. 21, 2005.
• After trailing 21-16, the Gophers went on a 29-7 run at the end the first half to take a 45-28 lead at the break.
• Minnesota’s 45 points in the first half were its most scored in a half this year. The Gophers’ previous high was 40 points in the second half against North Dakota State on Nov. 13.
• Minnesota’s 71-38 lead (33 points) in the second half was its largest in a game this season. The Gophers’ previous largest lead was 19, which they accomplished in two games, the last time against North Dakota State on Nov. 13.
• Dan Coleman had a career-high 28 points. His previous career-high was 23 points, which he accomplished twice in his career, the last time earlier this year against Long Island on Nov. 17.
• Coleman’s 20 points in the first half were the most in a half for a Gopher player since Vincent Grier had 26 in the second half against Wisconsin on Jan. 26, 2005.
• Lawrence McKenzie has now scored in double figures nine times in his Gopher career and 37 times in his collegiate career.
• Coleman has now scored in double figures eight times this season and 30 times in his career.
• McKenzie and Coleman have both scored in double figures in each of the last five games.
• Coleman scored 20 points for the second time this season and fourth time in his career.
• Coleman also established a new career high with five assists.
• McKenzie also had five assists, matching his career high which he set against Iowa State on Jan. 29, 2005 while he was at Oklahoma.
• Coleman recorded multiple blocked shots for the fifth time this season.
• Bryce Webster had a career-high six points.
