Harper McConnell Places Seventh in Drake 10K

Senior Harper McConnell kicked off Minnesota’s competition at the historic Drake Relays on Thursday. McConnell placed seventh in the 10,000-meter run with a time of 36 minutes, 54.56 seconds. She was the only Gopher competing in Thursday’s events.

The majority of the Golden Gophers competing at the Drake Relays will contest events tomorrow. Leading the list of events on Friday’s Drake schedule is the distance medley relay. Three members of Minnesota’s DMR that captured All-America honors at the 2006 NCAA Indoor Championships Emily Brown, Kadian Douglas and Heather Dorniden will be competing in the race for the Gophers.
