Game Times Announced for Five Gopher Football Games

The Gophers’ game against Michigan will be played on Sept. 30 at 7 p.m. due to a home conflict with the Minnesota Twins. ABC Sports, ESPN or ESPN2 will broadcast the game from the Metrodome. The Gophers’ homecoming game against Indiana will be played on Nov. 4 beginning at 11 a.m. with television to be determined at a later date.
The Gophers have two road games scheduled for 11 a.m. CST, including Minnesota’s Big Ten opener at Purdue on Sept. 23. Minnesota will also face the Wisconsin Badgers at 11 a.m. on Oct. 14 at Camp Randall Stadium. The Gophers’ road game at Ohio State will kickoff at 2:30 p.m. CST and will be broadcast by either ABC Sports, ESPN or ESPN2.
The Gophers will open the 2006 season on Aug. 31 at Kent State and will begin their home schedule at the Metrodome on Sept. 16 against Temple. Season tickets are on sale through the Gopher Ticket Office by calling 1-800-U-GOPHER outside the Twin Cities area or (612) 624-8080 within the toll free calling area. Tickets may also be purchased online at www.gophersports.com. Minnesota’s other home games during the 2006 season include Penn State on Oct. 7 and North Dakota State on Oct. 21.
