Big Ten Announces Men's Basketball Conference Schedule

The Big Ten Conference office announced today the 88-game intraconference portion of the 2007 men’s basketball schedule. The 102nd year of conference play will start on Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2007. All 88 Big Ten Conference games are scheduled to be televised in 2007 with contests appearing on CBS, ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU and ESPN Plus. The conference season will conclude with the 10th annual Big Ten Tournament, which is scheduled to take place Thursday through Sunday, March 8-11, at the United Center in Chicago. ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPN Plus will broadcast the first round and quarterfinal games while CBS will televise the semifinals and championship contests.
The Big Ten national TV schedule will feature the Golden Gophers at home on two occasions. On Wednesday, Jan. 17 Minnesota will face Illinois on ESPN2 at 6 p.m. Central, and on Sunday, Feb. 18, the Gophers will play host to the defending Big Ten champ Ohio State Buckeyes at noon on CBS. Game times for non-conference games and the rest of the TV schedule will be announced in the coming weeks.
