Minnesota Series/Specialty Notes
• Despite the loss to the Boilermakers the Gophers still hold a 31-29-3 series advantage over Purdue.
• Glen Mason is now 60-52 all time at Minnesota, and 119-116-1 in his career.
Minnesota Team Notes
• The Gophers have now scored a touchdown on the first possession of each of their last five games dating back to the Music City Bowl against Virginia last season.
• The Gophers’ opening touchdown drive of 83 yards was their longest scoring drive of the season in yardage and was the longest drive since the Gophers went 95 yards on a TD drive vs. Virginia in the 2005 Music City Bowl.
• The Gophers have now amassed at least 300 yards of total offense in 42 of the past 43 games dating back to the 2002 season.
• The Gophers have scored at least one rushing touchdown in 43 of their last 45 games dating back to 2002.
Minnesota Individual Notes
• Logan Payne recorded his third consecutive six-reception game with his six-catch, 38-yard performance against Purdue.
• Payne recorded a touchdown reception in consecutive games. He had four against Temple on Sept. 16 and earned another score against Purdue. It is the first time Payne has had consecutive games with a score.
• Eric Decker completed the first pass of his career on his first attempt with a 22-yard completion to Amir Pinnix in the fourth quarter.
• Eric Decker had a career-high three receptions against Purdue for a career-high 46 yards.
• Amir Pinnix recorded the third 100-yard rushing game of his career and his second of the season.
• Pinnix caught the first three passes of his career against Purdue for 47 yards.
• Matt Spaeth has started 33 consecutive games, the longest current starting streak on the team.
• Spaeth had his 15th multi-catch games in his career.
• Spaeth had a reception in his 14th consecutive game.
• With two touchdown passes, Bryan Cupito tied Cory Sauter for second place all-time in career touchdown passes. He now has 40 for his career.
• Cupito recorded the 12th multi-touchdown game of his career.
• Cupito moved into third place in career passing yardage, passing Marquel Fleetwood (5,279 yards) on the all-time list. Cupito now has 5,369 passing yards for his career.
• Dom Barber had the first two pass breakups of his career against Purdue.
