Liz Roehrig Wins Pentathlalon at Jack Johnson Classic

Minnesota junior LIz Roehrig captured the pentathlon title at the Jack Johnson Minnesota Classic at the University of Minnesota Fieldhouse on Friday. Roehrig set a University Fieldhouse, meet and team record in collecting 4,120 total points, which also provisionally qualified her for the NCAA Championships. She won all five events, including clearing 5 feet, 10 inches in the high jump.

Minnesota senior Jacenta Spandl placed second in the pentathlon with 3,405 total points, while junior Danielle Larson placed third with 2,884 points.

The Jack Johnson Minnesota Classic will resume on Saturday at the University Fieldhouse with the running events beginning at 10:30 a.m.
