Gopher Soccer Team Announces Spring Schedule

The University of Minnesota soccer team has announced its 2007 spring schedule, highlighted by the Gopher Spring Classic on Sunday, April 29 at Elizabeth Lyle Robbie Stadium. The Golden Gophers will play a total of six games during the spring season.
Minnesota will open the spring schedule by traveling to Phoenix, Ariz., to participate in the Sereno College Classic, March 3-4. The Gophers will face Washington State on Saturday, March 3 at 6 p.m. (CST), and meet Arizona State on Sunday, March 4 at 11 a.m. (CST).
The Gophers will hit the road again on Sunday, March 25 to take on Nebraska in Lincoln.
On Saturday, April 14, the Gophers will meet arch-rival Iowa in Kelsey Hood’s hometown, Ankeny, Iowa.
The first annual Gopher Spring Classic will have a regional feel, with North Dakota State, South Dakota State, UW-Green Bay and Northwestern coming to town on Sunday, April 29. The five teams will occupy both fields at Elizabeth Lyle Robbie Stadium for an action-packed day. Minnesota will take on Big Ten foe Northwestern at 10 a.m., and will wrap up its spring season against NDSU at 3 p.m.
