Q: Do you have any nicknames on the team?
A: Last year I got the name, “The Dude” from some of the older guys and this year it’s just “Webs” or “Weber.”
Q: What kind of career goals do you have for after college?
A: I’m looking at going into business and kinda looking at networking and trying to find some internships that are interesting. But right now I haven’t decided yet but I’m leaning towards a business degree.
Q: What’s your favorite part of gameday?
A: I like getting ready and I like running out of the tunnel. Running out of the tunnel before the game at home, and even away, is kinda fun since when you’re away everyone’s booing you and I love the fans there and playing in those types of stadiums is just a lot of fun.
Q: Describe yourself in one word.
A: Relaxed
Q: How would you characterize your style of play?
A: I like to play hard. I’m never perfect, nor am I close at all, especially when you’re leading the Big Ten in interceptions. You’ve gotta keep things in perspective. There’s been some good things about this year and there have been some bad things so I like to keep on going.
Q: What is your favorite movie right now?
A: We just saw “The Kingdom,” and that was pretty good, but I’m excited to see “We Own the Night.”
A: If you could go on a date with one person in the world, who would it be?
A: I have to say Rachel McAdams, the girl from “The Notebook.” She’s a really good looking girl and seems like a really fun person.
Q: If you had to skip practice for one television show what would it be?
A: South Park.
Q: If you weren’t playing football, what activity would you want to focus on more?
I’d like to play baseball. The more I’ve gotten away from baseball, the more I’ve noticed that I miss it. So I would play baseball of some sort.
Q: Who were your heroes growing up?
A: It’s kinda typical, but I really looked up to my dad growing up. As a sports figure, I really like Favre and his style of play. Favre though, not the Packers.
A: What is one thing you’d take with you on a desert island?
A: Probably a pack of (sunflower) seeds. They’d make me dehydrated but give me something to do I guess.
Q: Any pregame rituals?
A: I used to in high school. I’d clip my nails on a certain day and stuff. But the more I thought about it the more I thought it was just stupid. I like to go with the flow and never worry about it too much because if you get off your routine then you’re worrying about that the whole game so I’ve always been about just going out there and playing.
Q: What’s on your ipod right now?
A: I have a bunch of everything. Some Postal Service, Elvis Presley, I listen to the Beatles. I just put everything on shuffle so I listen to whatever comes up. I don’t have too much country though.
Q: If you could be one person for a day, alive or dead, who would it be?
A: I would want to be Johnny Depp. His past movies I’ve really liked and I think he’d be an interesting guy to be for a day.
Q: Which teammate or yours needs a makeover?
A: John Jakel needs a makeover. That or Mike Maciejowski. He needs to trim his sideburns.
