| Doug Gahle December Cheerleader of the Month |
| Hometown: | St. Charles, Mo. |
| When/where did you first start cheering? | College- University of Minnesota |
| What made you want to cheer at the University of Minnesota? | I wanted to continue doing something physically active, aside from the swimming I did throughout high school. It was something new and something I had never tried before. Plus I really wanted to learn to tumble! |
| What is your favorite part about cheering for the Gophers? | The fans and being able to really show my support for those teams playing and getting the fans to show the same support!! |
| What is your favorite cheerleading memory? | Being able to grow with my partner as a team and watching our efforts pay off with new stunts; Team bonding at the beginning of the year!!! It was so much fun and we really got to know our teammates!! |
| What cheer accomplishment are you most proud of? | My roundoff tuck and doing hands liberty with Kelsey! |
| What non-cheer accomplishment are you most proud of? | Becoming the Vice President of Programming for the Inter-Fraternity Council. |
| What do you like to do when you aren’t cheering on the Gophers? | Read and work out, but I am really involved with the Greek community on campus and a lot of my extra free time is spent going to meetings and discussing issues within the community |
| Do you have any tips for high school cheerleaders who want to continue on in college? | Work hard everyday and cheer because you want too!! Always remember to have fun! |
