Gopher Gophers? 2008 Recruiting Class Ranked 14th Nationally

The Golden Gopher women’s basketball recruiting class of 2008 was ranked No. 14 in the nation by Blue Star Basketball. On Wednesday, Minnesota announced that Kiara Buford (St. Paul, Minn./Central), Brianna Mastey (Becker, Minn./Becker), Nicole Mastey (Becker, Minn./Becker) and Jackie Voigt (Cottage Grove, Minn./Park) had signed National Letters of Intent to make up its 2008 recruiting class.
Minnesota’s class is ranked second in the Big Ten, behind only Purdue’s class which was ranked eighth. Blue Star Basketball ranked the top 50 classes with Tennessee, LSU, Rutgers, Connecticut and North Carolina making up the top five. The only Big Ten schools included were Ohio State at No. 20 and Wisconsin at No. 44.
