Rachael Drazan was named the USCHO.com Defensive Player of the Week for her performance against then-No. 1 Wisconsin last weekend. It was the first honor for Drazan and the second straight for Minnesota as Bobbi Ross was named the USCHO.com Offensive Player of the Week on Oct. 30.

Drazan, a junior defenseman, scored the game-winning goal at Wisconsin on Saturday night, and added an assist in the Gophers' victory as well. Despite playing in a 3-0 loss to the rival Badgers on Friday night, the Orono, Minn. native finished the weekend with an even +/- rating, and is second on the team at +5 on the year. Drazan's goal was scored on the advantage, and she leads the Gophs in goals (4) and points (6) scored on the power-play so far this season.

Minnesota returns to action, Nov. 17-18, when the Gophers face Minnesota Duluth at the DECC. Saturday's game is set for 3:30 p.m., followed by a 3 p.m. tilt on the 18th.
