Gopher Softball Games Against Iowa Cancelled
4/6/2007 12:00:00 AM | Softball
Due to unplayable field conditions, Minnesota's softball games against Iowa have been cancelled, this following a decision earlier in the day to move Friday's game to Saturday. The series against the Hawkeyes will not be rescheduled.
The Gophers have now had their last four games cancelled (doubleheaders at Penn State, 4/11, and vs. Iowa, 4/7).
Minnesota's 2007 home opener is now scheduled for Sunday, a doubleheader against Illinois beginning at noon. A decision on whether Sunday's games will be played as scheduled will be made after 2:30 p.m. tomorrow. The decision, however, could be made as late as game time on Sunday.
