Welcome to the Golden Gophers’ Summer 2007 Fun in the Sun series. A new Gopher player or coach will be featured every day for the next couple of weeks. We hope you enjoy a glimpse of how your favorite Golden Gophers are spending the summer.

Hi everyone,
This past May, right after school got out and we were all done with finals, Zoe and I headed to Cancun, Mexico with three other of our friends for five days. It was absolutely amazing!!! The weather was beautiful everyday we were there and there was so much for us to do. Several days we just laid on the beach right outside our hotel and took in the sun, which was my favorite part of the whole trip. Our hotel had many things for us to do, such as: karaoke, water aerobics and also they had formal dinners for us every night and the food was actually really good! One day we went to downtown Cancun, which was about 5 miles away. We took the bus downtown, which was an experience within itself and it only cost about 65 cents. We spent the afternoon shopping and bartering at the marketplace looking for souvenirs to bring home. It was a very relaxing experience and I loved going with Zoe, we had such a blast! I am for sure going back sometime soon!!!!
