AudienceView announced today that University of Minnesota Athletics are live with AudienceView for all ticketing activities across campus. The University began selling tickets August 15 at the box office, online, and by phone. The University’s Arts department is already utilizing AudienceView for all ticketing activities and with the addition of Athletics, it will provide the University with an unparalleled solution that provides ticketing and related services across the entire campus.
“We believe that our partnership with Audience View will help the University of Minnesota develop an integrated approach to ticketing and servicing our stakeholders,” said Tom Wistrcill, Associate Athletic Director at the University of Minnesota. “Audience View has tremendous expertise as well as a strong vision of the future that will help us stay ahead in the ever-changing ticketing industry.”
AudienceView gives the University control of its ticketing experience and a strong foundation to continue to grow Athletics and campus-wide activities in the future. With an all-in-one approach to ticketing across campus, the University has broader, more robust capabilities to target their audience, capture valuable data, and ultimately sell more tickets and drive revenue.
“We realize the importance of an integrated, powerful solution for a client like the University of Minnesota,” said AudienceView CEO Kevin Kimsa. “With both arts and athletics now live, we look forward to continuing to provide the University with everything they need to provide successful ticketing and customer-focused experiences for their customers.”
The University of Minnesota sports facilities include more than a dozen arenas, stadiums, and venues including the 65,000-seat HHH Metrodome, home of Golden Gopher Football. In 2009, the University will move to the new TCF Bank Stadium being built on campus. Other venues include the 14,000-seat Williams Arena, the 10,000-seat Mariucci Arena, and the 3,400-seat Ridder Arena.
As one of the most prestigious schools in the United States, the University of Minnesota is home to over 50,000 students and has thriving arts and sports programs. The University has 25 men’s and women’s varsity sports teams in the Big Ten Conference and Western Collegiate Hockey Association, competing at more than a dozen major venues, and several smaller locations, on and around campus. The University is also a major contributor to the arts community of Minnesota, offering concerts, theatre, performing arts headliners, and dance performances year-round.
