Gopher Nation Fan Fest A Big Hit

A swarm of Golden Gopher fans enveloped the Bierman Field Athletic Complex Sunday afternoon as the University of Minnesota hosted the Gopher Nation Fan Fest.

Fans enjoyed free pizza and pop and had a chance to rub elbows with Minnesota’s players and coaches in advance of the Gophers’ season-opening football game vs. Bowling Green on Sept. 1.

Highlights of the event included an autograph session, interactive games, facility tours and a stirring rendition of the Rouser. Head football coach Tim Brewster also addressed the crowd during one segment, giving the event a pep rally flair.
