Minnesota Volleyball Team Ranked No. 13 in CSTV/AVCA Poll

The Minnesota volleyball team is ranked No. 13 in the CSTV/AVCA Top 25 poll, which was released on Monday, Sept. 10. Minnesota received 705 points in the poll.
Minnesota has been ranked in 76 of the last 83 polls dating back to 2002. The Golden Gophers have been ranked No. 15 or higher in the last 11 polls dating back to 2006.
This past week, Minnesota went 2-1 in the Golden Bear Classic. The Golden Gophers defeated Eastern Kentucky and Utah State, before falling to No. 15 California in three games.
Minnesota was among five Big Ten teams that were ranked in this week’s poll. Penn State was No. 3, Wisconsin No. 9, Michigan No. 10 and Ohio State was No. 20. The Big Ten and Pac-10 tied for the most teams in the poll with five apiece.
The Golden Gophers will host the Gopher Invitational this week on Sept. 14-15. Minnesota will face Charlotte on Friday, Sept. 14 at 7:30 p.m. The Golden Gophers will then take on Wisconsin-Green bay on Saturday, Sept. 15 at 12:30 p.m. and Creighton on Sept. 15 at 7:30 p.m.
