The Minnesota Athletics Department received word Monday from the Big Ten Conference that the Gophers’ game at the Metrodome against Ohio State on Sept. 29 will be televised by ESPN2 beginning at 7 p.m.

The telecast will mark the second appearance in as many weeks by Minnesota on ESPN2. The Gophers’ Big Ten opener this Saturday against Purdue at the Metrodome will also be televised by ESPN2.

The selection marks the first time the Minnesota-Ohio State match-up will appear on ESPN2 since 2000. The Gophers and Buckeyes were televised by ABC in 2002, 2005 and 2006 and by ESPN in 2001.
