Series Notes:
-Tonight’s contest marked the 58th meeting between the two schools.  Iowa’s all-time edge in the series was stretched to 37-20.

Individual Notes:
-Reigning Big Ten Player of the Week Leslie Knight recorded a game-high 18 points.
-Tonight’s performance marked the eighth time this season that Knight has scored in double figures.
-Knight is averaging 18.0 points per game over her last five contests.
-Emily Fox totaled 15 points on the evening.  Fox has scored in double figures in each of the Gophers’ 15 games this season. 
-In three Big Ten games, Fox is averaging 16.7 points per contest.
-The Hawkeyes’ Johanna Solverson recorded a team-high 16 points.  Coming into tonight’s contest, the senior had been averaging 6.4 points per game.
-With eight rebounds, Korinne Campbell led the Gophers in rebounds for the seventh time this season.

Team Notes:
-The last time the Gophers played an overtime game prior to tonight’s contest, they defeated these same Hawkeyes in Iowa City by a 80-78 tally on January 25, 2007.
-Tonight’s overtime loss was the first since the Gophers fell to then No. 12 Purdue 60-56 on January 12, 2006.
-Minnesota was 27 of 65 (41.5%), recording their lowest FG% of the season.
-The Gophers have made as many free throws this season (220) as their opponents have attempted.
-Minnesota out-rebounded the Hawkeyes 35-34, marking the second time this season that the Gophers have out-rebounded an opponent in a loss.
