Gophers Want Solid Gold at Dome Saturday

Saturday’s University of Minnesota football game vs. Michigan has been deemed a “Solid Gold” game by the Gopher Athletic Department. Minnesota fans are being encouraged to wear “Solid Gold.”
Any fan interested in purchasing gold apparel can take advantage of a 20% discount at Gold Country. Fans can visit www.GoldysLockerRoom.com, print off a coupon and redeem it at any Gold Country location. The coupon may be used for any single gold apparel item and is valid through Nov. 8.
The 20% discount will also be available on Saturday at the Metrodome Gold Country souvenir stands.
In addition to the apparel discount, 50,000 gold pom poms will be distributed at Saturday’s game.
Kickoff for the Michigan-Minnesota battle, which will also be for the Little Brown Jug, is slated for 11 a.m. Saturday at the Metrodome.
The Gophers are looking for volunteers who want to help make the “Solid Gold” promotion a success. Volunteers of all ages are welcome to help the cause and may inquire about volunteer opportunities by sending an email to beeme001@umn.edu.
